Slips are available at the marinas - please ask the dockmasters.
Bait will be available in the Haverstraw Marina and at Matt's Sporting Goods.
Anyone needing full or half flats of bloodworms needs to order them before 4/14

Rules and eligibility requirements.
| 1. | The Derby is open to everyone except the Tournament Staff. |
| 2. | Applicants may fish from the shoreline or a boat. |
| 3. | All participants must comply with all Coast Guard laws and rules, local law enforcement laws as well as New York State DEC laws. |
| 4. | If competing in a boat ALL OCCUPANTS must be entered in the Derby. |
| 5. | Only One Fish may be entered per registrant Per Day. |
| 6. | Any fish that is frozen, gaffed, foul hooked, snagged or caught in an unsporting manner as per IGFA* rules will be disqualified. |
| 7. | No treble hooks may be used while live bait fishing. |
| 8. | Fishing shall begin at 12:01 a.m. April 17 and continue through 5 p.m. April 18, 2010. Fish must be at the weigh in station no later than 5:00 pm to qualify for tournament. |
| 9. | Weigh in times will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weigh in station will close at 5:00 pm SHARP. |
| 10. | The official weigh in station is at the Haverstraw Marina with an auxiliary station in Newburgh. |
| 11. | All winning anglers may be subject to a polygraph examination if requested. Polygraph is required for $100,000.00 prize. |

The largest fish will be determined by weight. In the case of a tie, the longer fish will be declared the winner. If the fish are the same weight and length, the fish with the earliest weigh-in time will be declared the winner. |
| 13. | A one pound bonus will be added to each fish weighed in and released alive. This extra pound WILL NOT count in the $100,000.00 contest. |
| 14. | The weigh in slip must be presented at the awards ceremony in order to collect the prize. |
| 15. | Any angler participating in this event, UNDER THE AGE OF 17, must have a parent or guardian's signature on the application. |

THE DECISIONS OF THE JUDGES COMMITTEE ARE FINAL. |
| 17. | Fishing for the regular Derby will be restricted to the Hudson River and have the River's zero mile marker as the southern most boundary. |
| 18. | All prizes shall be awarded at the Striped Bass Derby Awards Ceremony following the close of the weigh station on Sunday. |
| 19. | When coming in with your boat to the weigh in area, call ahead on Ch. 68 to allow us to prepare for you. |
| 20. | Fishing for the $100,000.00 grand prize will be limited to the Hudson River from the Battery at the south tip of Manhattan, north to the Troy Dam. |
| 21. | Any fish submitted to this contest may be retained by the Derby Committee for closer scrutiny. If a fish is determined fit enough for live release by the judges and needs to be retained it will be scored as if it was released. |
| Special
rules for the $100,000.00 Prize
Anglers who have entered the Striped Bass Derby are eligible to purchase
an entry in the $100,000.00 Fish of a Lifetime contest. Any fish entered in the
$100,000.00 contest must be caught in the Hudson River during the time the contest is open
(as per rules 8 & 20 above). The fish must be brought in to an official contest
weigh in station and weighed on one of our certified scales. To be eligible a fish
must be over 48 inches and weigh over 50 pounds. In the event that more than one 50
pound fish is caught the angler submitting the largest of those fish over 50 pounds will
win the $100,000.00 prize. The largest fish will be determined by weight. In the
case of a tie, the longer fish measured to the nearest .25 inch will be declared the
winner. If the fish are the same weight and length, the fish with the earliest weigh-in
time will be declared the winner. |

| (i) | Event will take place April 17
& 18, 2010. Eligible territory will be
limited to the Hudson River from the Battery at the south tip of Manhattan, north to the Troy Dam. |
| (ii) | Any and all eligible anglers must be pre-registered in the $100,000.00 prize
contest prior to fishing for the prize winning fish. |
| (iii) | Species limited to Striped
Bass. All Grand Prizes are single limit liability. As such, a tie breaking rule is in effect i.e. largest fish to exceed the #50.0 lbs. benchmark. |
| (iv) | IGFA and New York All Tackle sport fishing rules and regulations apply. |
| (v) | All eligible fish must be weighed on official certified Tournament Scales and two objective non-biased witnesses must attest to official weight. |
| (vi) | Polygraph examination of winner is mandatory at sponsors expense and is a condition precedent to any claims consideration. |
